FRESH AIR TECHNOLOGIES FEATURED ON ABC’s EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION

Fresh Air received a call on the morning of April 2 earlier this year.  After speaking on the phone about the situation, Neil Dixon- our Senior Account Manager-was sent to the home of Alicia King.  Alicia and Neil went through the entire home/daycare addressing the issues that were affecting Alicia’s property.  The problems were certainly complex, and compounding matters was the fact that Alicia’s daughter was dealing with lung problems and breathing difficulties.

THE BIG SECRET & “THE SUDBURY REDEMPTION”

Following the inspection of the crawlspace, Neil and Alicia sat together and discussed all the problems she was facing regarding not only the cost to complete this project, but the need to improve the indoor air quality for all the occupants and children who spend time there.  It was then that Alicia let us in on a very big secret.  After being sworn to secrecy, she let us know she was one of 5 finalists for Extreme Makeover!

A few days later, Mrs. King called back to say ABC was at the house and wanted to interview a certain Neil Dixon on camera to explain in detail the problems that were identified during the first site visit -just in case this property won the Makeover.  Well, as we all now know, SHE WON!!

 It was an amazing, life-altering moment for one of our clients, and we are humbled by the magnitude of that moment in her life and all the lives that her family touches on a daily basis.  As the months passed, excitement grew for the entire city as Charlotte became the center of nationwide attention as Hollywood came to town and set up shop for 8 days off Sharon Amity.

The show reportedly filmed over 600 hours of tape.  That equals 36,000 minutes of film to edit into a 42 minute show.  While we were excited to have been such an integral part of this process, it seemed unlikely we would be seen on national TV.  To our utter amazement, we were not only given time on camera, the show featured Neil as he introduced himself, the company and a brief commentary on the problems affecting the house and the issues regarding the indoor air quality as it affected the occupants in the home.

Since we appeared on the show, it has been very busy as family, friends, colleagues and clients (new and old) have reached out to congratulate us on this fantastic opportunity.
